Welcome.
I've been looking about Blogger (via StumbleUpon) and found multiple Daily Photo blogs of various places from around the world.
This is not going to be a 'Daily Photo' blog, it is however going to be a look around the 'Border City of Carlisle' through the lens of my camera.
Click the link to find out more about Carlisle's History.
I will however being adding brief histories with pictures. (So long as I can find the info myself.)
Waverley Route Railway Bridge.
"Even falling apart, it's very imposing."
"Atop the bridge. Not entirely sure what the graffiti means."
Click photos for full view.
This bridge is located behind Willowholme Industrial Estate and The Cumberland Infirmary on the River Eden.
"The Waverley Route railway from Carlisle to Edinburgh via Hawick opened in 1892, taking its name from Sir Walter Scott's "Waverley" novels, which were set in the Border area. It was closed in 1969."
